  • “We all just communicate via IM (slack, gchat, Skype, etc.) or email anyway; there’s no reason to be in the actual office.”
  • “I lose hours a day of productivity in my commute.”
  • “There’s too much overhead. We could devote office space rental to salaries and marketing”

And those are all valid arguments to some extent, there’s been a surge in the debate recently over whether startups need office space at all. Remote work sounds great on the surface, but there are intangibles to actual office space that drive higher success rates with business using office space.
